I lay in bed and thought about how my life had changed after I published my collection of flash fiction.

It had been a massive hit and sold a million and one copy. I used the money to make an old dream come true. I bought an old villa by the Mediterranean and spent my days between taking contemplative strolls on the beach and sitting on my balcony with a glass of wine in one hand and a pen in the other.

Deep inside I knew that my thoughts were nothing but a load of unrealistic nonsense. However, they allowed me to keep a positive outlook, lowered my stress-levels and helped me fall asleep.

Börkur is an avid storyteller with a keen eye for quirky characters, funny dialogs and vivid scenario descriptions. Much of his writing falls within the genre of realistic fiction and his stories are more often than not based on real events in the author’s life. Although the tales contain grains of truth, they are melded with fiction, making the reader curious to know the line between reality and fantasy.
