I was in a philosophical mood and decided to write an essay titled What do I think about when I think about life?

I started tackling the big questions. Why are we here? Why am I here? Why am I sitting here in an East London café drinking a decaf soy milk caramelized latte?

Then Steve walked past the table and I lost my train of thought. He’s got this amazingly awesome retro eighties watch where you can play video games. I asked him to join me. I really wanted to play.

Börkur is an avid storyteller with a keen eye for quirky characters, funny dialogs and vivid scenario descriptions. Much of his writing falls within the genre of realistic fiction and his stories are more often than not based on real events in the author’s life. Although the tales contain grains of truth, they are melded with fiction, making the reader curious to know the line between reality and fantasy.
